I had a chance to try out the new wedges today. The 60-degree wedge hits nicely and I hope it will be my go-to club for getting out of bunkers. I'll write more after tomorrow when I play a round. I'll also write about the 56 degree and the 52 degree wedges.

I was struggling hitting my Titlest wedges to the point that the S word was becoming common with every wedge shot. I saw these wedges on the Golf Channel and instantly became intrigued because of the soul design. Bought the 56/60 degree irons and let me tell you, these clubs are wonderful. Whether from the fairway, out of the sand trap or chipping around the green these clubs preform. Need to purchase the 52 and my gapping will be perfect.

I have historically been a good bunker player. Over the last few years, as I have aged, my bunker play has been awful. I practiced and practiced and practiced, had my pro help me but to no avail. Finally, desperate I ordered the HT 405 wide flange 60 deg. wedge. From the first swing the ball popped up and onto the green every single swing. I have only had it a little more than a week so I am still learning the nuances of how hard to swing to get it close but it is in my bag and staying. Also, I fully expected that the wide flange would mean that I could not use it for chipping but it is every bit as good as the old one that is now leaning against the wall in my garage! A friend who was also struggling from the traps hit mine several times at the practice facility. He ordered one two days after he used mine!

On our course when the grass goes dormant you get a lot of tight lies. On my first day I did not hit a chip fat. Well pleased that it worked as advertised!

Well, I was playing against two other guys at the time, I took it out, for the first time.
I was in the sand trap and told them it was the first time swinging this new club.
A normal chip shot swing and it was 5' up over the lip and close to the flag.
Don't worry, just get one and it will make you feel like you are cheating.
It is that good.
I will have to practice using it from the short, tight lies around the green. That is the only fault I found, but I have never used it before.
I have a full set if new Taylor made clubs. Can't believe this club has that advantage over them...

When the 60 degree wedge arrived, I didn’t like the sole of the club because I thought the club would bounce to much off a tight lie. Not so, great feel and does very well in green side thick grass.

This 52-degree wedge is everything I hoped it would be. I used it today for the first time and I was able to get on the green with short lob shots as easy as I ever have. I had complete confidence that all I had to do was swing, and the club would do the rest, and that's just what happened. I no longer have to try to adjust my pitching wedge and hope it works, I just swing through the shot and the ball flies up and onto the green, right where I aim. The face actually allows me to spin the ball back on my long lob shots. Great club !!!!

Played some rounds with my new 52 and 60 degree wedges from Harry Taylor. I have hit a few fat and thin ones, but less often compared to my Ben Hogan ones (which I like). The positive things are that I can hit the ball higher and further with these Harry Taylor ones. I'm having to get used to that. I'm 74 (although not in bad shape), but I can't expect to swing real fast. However, with my old sand wedge, I could expect 50 or at times 60 yards. With the Harry Taylors's 52 degree, I can be comfortable if I need 60 or so yards, and according to my GPS, I hit one 88 yards. I know for many, that isn't that much, but for me, I'm thrilled. Those darn bunker shots are still a problem, but with the 60 degree wedge, I do better when I commit to it. Are these good clubs, yes they are.

I got the 60 deg wedge. I needed something between my Ping SW and trusty old 64 deg wedge. It arrived quickly. Very Well packaged and looks beautiful out of the box. I didn’t have time to practice with but couldn’t wait to try it out during my next game. I don’t have the distances and feel dialed in yet, but the safe shot I took with it felt very good. It looks and feels like a high quality club. I we’re going to get along very well.

This is my second wedge in this series, love the heft and what you can do with them. 52 degrees, easy to hit off hard lies and in deep rough. Great club, liked my 60 degree so much got this one. You wont be dissapointed. Only thing wish they would offer is to add wrap to the grip, but no biggie, I took their grip off and put my own on with a bigger wrap.

The 56 degree Red Wide Dimple Wedge replaced my 58 degree Vokey for sand play. For around the green, it glides through the rough and makes for a predictable shot. I'm a 14 handicap, love my Vokey wedges, however love my Harry Taylor wedge more, a lot fewer mistakes!

I have had the 60degree wedge for about 3 years now. Many years ago had an old Ben Hogan Sure Out and this is pretty dang close to that club which was the easiest and best sand club I have ever had. This wedge is super easy to hit out of the sand and perfect for lob shots, as well. Those whom I play with are amazed at my sand game and this club just perfects it! Get it and you wont be dissapointed.

Forgiving, consistent shots from deep/thin lies, soggy turf. Large bounce makes it tough to lob from fairways/thinner rough. For same reason, would use only in bunkers with deep, fluffy sand. Good wedge for more inconsistent golfers but also would need a lob wedge for less forgiving sand.

First time using it in a sandtrap, with a tough lie, and short-sided to the pin........ it felt "butter smooth" through the sand, and my resulting shot was only two feet from the flag stick. So far..... so good! I'm looking forward to more sand shots and short pitches in the future.
